It shouldn’t be considered “chivalrous” to offer to help carry something if it looks like the person’s having a hard time with it—it should just be a polite thing. But no, it’s a “Prince Charming” thing and everyone’s like aw he’s such a nice guy when really, those kinds of people tend to be the most sexist, whether they intend to or not.
