Combined House Alignment
wait wait wait what?!
Gryffinclaws/Ravendors are the Lawful Goods? What? Really? No way. Noooo way.
Ravenclaws are going to be far more neutral than a Hufflepuff. As a Lawful Good Gryffinpuff, let me definitely say that I am nowhere near Lawful Neutral. A Gryffinpuff or a Huffledor is going to be compassionate and “good”. Don’t believe me? Let’s take a look at some examples in fictional literature:
First off, let’s start with examples from the Potter books. Ronald Weasley is a Gryffinpuff. Hermione Granger is a Gryffinclaw. Which one do you think seems more Lawful Good? How about Lawful Neutral? Hermione is definitely the more “neutral” of the two Houses. She’s far more diplomatic, far more “let’s think about the best way to do this”, whereas Ron is more “it’s the right way to go”.
If that example doesn’t work for you, then we can look at Nine/Ten and Rose. Nine was a Ravendor, Ten was a Gryffinclaw, and Rose was a Gryffinpuff. Rose was definitely the one more likely to argue about the Morality and Goodness of doing something, for sure. The difference between a Lawful Good and a Lawful Neutral is essentially going to boil down to the feelings about the Greater Good and the Morality of what is happening and whatnot.
I don’t know, I might be bad at wording things, but this is definitely flipped for the Lawfuls.
Yeah seriously. I am a pretty straight up Ravenclaw (who claims Ravendor) and I am pretty solidly True Neutral occasionally venturing in to Neutral Good. There is no way on earth that I am Lawful Good.
If anything, I’d think the combined houses with ‘Puff in them should be the most Lawful, the Gryff and Slyths skewing towards Chaotic and either Good or Evil, and ‘Claws the most Neutral.
