Birds I saw as I was reading on my back porch this afternoon…
- 8+ Blue Jays (it sounded like there were more that I couldn’t see, and they seem to have started territory battles in preparation for nesting)
- 7 Mourning Doves
- 3 Black-Crested Titmice
- 2 small, striated brown birds that were too concealed to ID—sparrows?
- 1 Cardinal (male)
Is it bad that I kind of want to buy binoculars so I can identify birds more easily when I see them? Really this was only a matter of time once I started working at Audubon.
